OUR TERMS-CONDITIONS AND PAYMENT POLICY:
 
HOW TO OBTAIN US:
Purchase of our courses for agency onsite classes can either be made by open market purchase order (PO) under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, or simply through your Agency Training Officer on a Group SF-182 Training Request/Order form.  Training Officers using SF-182 Group training orders are permitted under Treasury regulations to issue a Group SF-182 for training up to $25,000 in value without competition.

Our onsite course pricing is very straight forward and listed on the "Courses and Pricing" page. .  Our prices listed are all inclusive, meaning the cost of the instructor, airfare, hotel, are included for up to 25 employees, but our price does NOT include student books.  We provide all student materials FREE to the agency to print by email, and that is how we help keep our prices low because we let the agency or students print our course materials at no charge.  If agencies don't desire to print our course materials we will be happy to do it for your for a charge of $400 flat rate. 

All course certificates are provided by download from our site. Each student successfully passing our course is given a password at the end of the class to download and print their own certificate.  For agency onsite courses if your location is not located on a subway or metro or there will be a price add-on for Rental Car rate per day for our instructor of $50 for each day of the course,or a flat fee of $360 for a five day course (includes gas).

IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL STUDENTS TO TRAIN. If an agency wants to send more than 25 students to an agency on-site class, there is typically an "over and above charge" beyond the 25 student capacity which shall be billed an extra charge of $250 per additional student and must be added to your credit card, PO (SF 1449) or group training request form (Group SF-182). 

PUBLICLY OFFERED COURSES.  We only accept credit card payments in advance to secure seats for public courses, however, we will accept SF-182s if they are approved and marked "Fast Payment Authorized" authorized so we can secure payment for seats.  The same is true of our Distance Learning courses.  Please do not send us an SF-182 that is not market as "Fast Payment Authorized" in Block C6 of the SF-182.


CITIES OUTSIDE WASHINGTON, DC
(other US cities and locations that are not on a metro or subway) these prices are slightly higher and are referred to our our Course Listing page as (Outside DC Prices) as shown in our course listing. In addition to using the "outside DC price" be sure that if courses are taught in the Central time zone and Pacific Coast time zone you add a surcharge of $750 per course price, and for overseas add $1500 for Hawaii, Europe and for South East Asia areas.

DISTANCE LEARNING CLASSES. All of our Distance Learning classes for individuals must be paid by Purchase Card in advance before any materials will be sent to students.  It is a student's responsibility to obtain internal approvals prior to taking our courses.  However, if your agency has a requirement to training multiple (many) employees all at once due to failure to complete required credits on time, we will accept a "group SF-182 for several students at the same time by SF-182 (group order) so long as the SF-182 is clearly marked Fast Pay authorized in block C6 of the form. Cost of groups may also be paid by Purchase Card at http://shop.acquisitioninstitute.com

ALL 1-DAY ONSITE COURSES.
For all of our courses under the micro-purchase threshold (all one-day courses) TAI requires they be paid in advance by credit or purchase card before any course delivery.  Payments is required upfront for all one-day classes held onsite.  You may pay for any 1-day 8 CLP credit course now by going to our Shopping Cart and registering with credit card payment.

ONSITE COURSES REQUIRE FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE SUPPLIED BY THE AGENCY REQUESTING THE COURSE. Agencies shall provide all equipment and facilities at the prices listed per our public catalog course prices, and facilities shall include adequate classroom spaces for students to attend with ease of instruction (not too crowded); an instructor's podium, him or podium microphone is required for classes larger than 25 students, or in a large room with reasonable acoustics; also, an internet connection to the PC for instructor is required along with  projector and laptop or PC with USB ports.

ALL PUBLIC OFFERINGS (THOSE AT OUR OWN FACILITY). All public courses are seats to be paid for in advance by credit card (Purchase Card) or secured by a group SF-182 Training Request and scheduled to be held at any location other than on-site at a federal, state or local government agency.

REFUNDS FOR OUR PUBLIC COURSES:
All Public Offerings (courses offered to the public) where seats are registered and paid for in advance by credit card and scheduled
to be held at any location other than as a government "on-site" at a federal, state or local government agency are non-refundable
for no-shows, and any reason, other than a Bonafide "Act of God" such as (snow storm, fire, hurricane, terrorist acts, plague, etc). 
Reasons for not attending regularly scheduled public offerings that have been paid for such as congressional action or inaction,
agency director meetings, budgetary pull-backs, etc...do not qualify for refunds and all monies shall be forfeited, and all seats secured
by SF-182 for which a no show ocured shall also be billed and subject to the same full price loss.  Refunds for actual Acts of God,
(failure to show due to air delay due to snow storms, etc) are permitted up to the day prior to the course start date. The only
consideration made by TAI is we will permit a one for one substitution with another individual if the original attendee cannot make
the course.  This policy does NOT apply to regularly scheduled agency on-site classes. Ensure you know and understand that they
must attend  the class once booked.
