BACKGROUND: As government shrinks and budgets are cut, federal contractors are being pushed
more and more to develop Performance Work Statements and Quality Assurance Plans (formerly
a government responsibility). Learn what you need to know in Business Development to capture
business with the ability to create strong Performance Work Statement documents as part of your
industry proposal solution. Private industry is now expected to pick up the slack and provide more resources since federal agencies can't. In the next ten years more than half of the Performance Work Statements typically found in RFPs will be developed by industry as a routine part of their business
proposal process. Government employees must also understand this concept.
